In Indiana, we are “Patching Things Up”. Established in February 2026 and Headquartered in Owen County, IN, we have been working toward creating a better state and better communities with decades of prior experience from the military, EMS, and other volunteer militia groups. Our dedicated team of volunteers has made a positive impact on hundreds of lives. Since the decline of the ICVM, there has been strife, paranoia, and conflicting egos dividing Indiana Militiamen (and women). We are looking to correct this and proudly stand together as “WE THE PEOPLE” under a common statewide banner. Cooperation, understanding, common values and goals, mutual aide is the name of the game. Focus on bringing all militia groups together in the State of Indiana, our goal is to have self-sufficient county groups who can train and coordinate freely. We feature live fire, marksmanship, camping, land navigation, first aid, search and rescue, CERT. We wear Tiger Stripes and Woodland Camo. Senior members have been leaders in many of the prior militia groups mentioned below. Good things to come, stay tuned.

Indiana's militia dates back to 1861 when it was first formed organized by Governor William Henry Harrison. During the American Civil War the Indiana Legion was created, giving the militia an official role in the state and distinguishing them from the regiments called to federal duty who would later become the Indiana National Guard. During the Civil War the Legion played a prominent role in the Newburgh Raid, fought in the Battle of Corydon, was active throughout Morgan's Raid into Indiana, and patrolled the state's southern border and protected areas of importance. The Legion was renamed the Liberty Guard in 1903 and served in various functions in the state.
The Liberty Guard was renamed the Indiana Guard Reserve in 1916 and given a more formal role in the state. The IGR has worn woodland, ACU, and Multicam.
